A first visit typically starts with a short conversation about your hearing history and any concerns, followed by an otoscopic examination to check for wax or other visible causes, and then a diagnostic hearing test if needed. Your audiologist will talk you through the results in plain language — not just a graph — and explain any recommended next steps, whether that’s simple monitoring, wax removal, or a discussion about hearing aid options. There’s never any pressure to buy anything on the day. If hearing aids are the right fit, we’ll talk through the full range of brands and price points, since we’re independently owned and not tied to promoting any single manufacturer. Most appointments last between 30 and 60 minutes depending on what’s needed, and you’re welcome to bring a friend or family member along for support.
