Before starting, we will ask to wear good-quality headphones and complete the test in a quiet environment. The setup includes adjusting the device’s volume.
The test then plays a series of tones at varying pitches and volumes. For example, you might hear a pure tone at 500 Hz, then another at 4000 Hz, each at different loudness levels.
Each time you hear a sound, you can then click the "next" button to move to the next frequency. The software records which tones were detected and which were missed.
Once complete, we compare your responses to typical hearing thresholds. Results are presented as a simple chart or pass/fail indication, along with advice on whether to seek a full audiological assessment.
